 Liberty's LEH family of pumps are submersible sewage pumps designed for commercial or residential applications requiring high head. All LEH pumps handle waste solids up to 2" in diameter. The family includes three series: the LEH100, the LEH150, and the LEH200. As far as contruction, all LEH pumps are made with a cast iron body, the motors are oil-filled and hermetically sealed, the shafts are stainless steel and the impellers are 2 vane cast iron. Single and three-phase models are available; all single-phase models feature built-in thermal protection. Each series includes manual models, but both the LEH150 and LEH200 series include automatic models as well. Keep in mind that since these pumps are designed for high head applications, a minimum TDH in feet must be reached. Each pump series can handle waste solids up to 2 inches. Depending on the model, the pump will have a 2 or 3 inch flanged discharge. Liberty's LE family of pumps are submersible sewage pumps designed for home or residential applications. All LE pumps handle waste solids up to 2" in diameter. The family includes four series: the LE40, LE50, LE70, and LE100. The number designations are meant to denote the horsepower difference between each series - so the LE50 will operate at 1/2 HP, the LE70 will operate at 3/4 HP, and so on.  Each pump in the four series is close coupled, built with a corrosion resistant, cast iron body that houses an oil-filled, hermetically sealed motor. This video highlights the Liberty XLE family of explosion proof submersible sewage pumps. Explosion proof sewage pumps are designed specifically to move wastewater in hazardous locations where flammable gases or vapors exist in the surrounding air. Chemical plants, factories, and refineries often use explosion-proof pumps. Hazardous locations are defined by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the National Electric Code (NEC) and are subdivided into various classes, divisions, groups, and zones. Both the XLE50 and XLE70 series pumps have the same hazardous location designations. Class 1, Division 1 Groups C and D Class I locations are those in which the air contains a high enough concentration of flammable gases or vapors that could produce an explosive situation. The sewage basin collects and contains wastewater before it is removed from a building's system by way of a submersible sewage pump. It is a critical part of any wastewater (sewage, effluent, sump) system. Commonly constructed with fiberglass or high grade plastic, basins are heavy duty containers. They come in a variety of system types (simplex or duplex), sizes and applications. Some basins operate with multiple types of pumps while others are designed expressly to be paired with a specific pump. Basins sit below grade while the pump itself sits at the bottom of the basin. How it functions is simple: wastewater enters the basin through an inlet pipe or port. The wastewater accumulates in the basin until it reaches a certain level, at which point your sewage pump will activate (by way of a float switch or preset control) and pump the wastewater through a discharge pipe out of the building to a municipal sewer or septic tank. A correctly sized basin is important to ensuring that the wastewater system and the pump itself runs smoothly and efficiently. For instance, a basin that is too small could fill up rapidly and contribute to improper pump cycling. If the pump turns on and off repeatedly, it will quickly burn out. Longer downtime between pump cycles keeps the pump cooler and results in longer life. Liberty ProVore PRG-series grinder pumps are expressly designed for use in residential or home wastewater systems. These grinder pumps are sewage pumps that use cutter technology to macerate waste solids into a fine slurry to easily transport wastewater out of a building.
