What’s a Plenum Plus?

A common term used in the HVAC field, plenum, is the part of a building between the structural floor or drop ceiling where air and heat travel through. What many contractors and safety officials have pointed out is that this space provides ample amounts of excess air/oxygen, which in the event of a fire will help spread it throughout the building. The Plenum Plus is UL 2043 tested, which is a safety requirement

that requires the pump to release less gas and fumes in the event of fire where plenum conditions are present. What this really means is that the Plenum Plus pumps do not give off gases conducive to hazardous fires, and is a safer, smarter install for contractors and municipalities.
