Zoeller 95 Flow Mate Sump Pump

Today I am highlighting the Zoeller 95 Flow Mate sump pump. The Zoeller 95 is a submersible sump pump, designed to handle groundwater or effluent water in residential or light commercial application settings.

The Zoeller 95 is a high capacity pump that can move water with up to ½” spherical solids and is completely submersible in waters up to 130°F.

Construction

Most Zoeller 95’s are made with a durable cast iron, including the switch case, volute, and base. A powder coated epoxy finish is applied to the exterior for extra corrosion resistance. The finish also allows for greater heat dissipation from the motor, ensuring a long service life. There are no sheet metal parts that are susceptible to corrosion within the body of the pump and no screens to clog.

The close coupled motor is a permanent split capacitor type with a oil filled hermetically sealed Class B insulation. It operates at 60 Hz and 3450 RPM with 10.5 amps. The motor housing is also cast iron. The shaft seal is carbon and ceramic and there is a watertight neoprene square ring sealing the motor from the volute. The upper bearing is a sleeve type while the lower bearing is a ball type.
