Goulds AGS series axial Grinder Pumps use cutting edge grinder technology to meet the demands of modern residential wastewater applications. The AGS series was built for use in residential and small office new construction wastewater applications, applications where modern wastewater flushables create clogging issues and as a 2″ sewage pump replacement pump. These pumps are also ideal for residential sewage systems where a gravity system is not practical, as well as pressure sewage systems.

The key feature of the AGS series Grinder Pump is the axial grinder coupled with the balanced semi-open impeller that reduces downtime caused by clogging or roping. The axial grinder pairs an eight-hole cutter plate that receives the material and passes it to a three blade cutter that can generate up to 4.9 million biter per hour (at a head of 66′ TDH). Waste is thus reduced to a fine slurry, ensuring reduced downtime and smooth operation. The entire cutter is stainless steel, non-clogging design.

Other top of the line construction features include a uni-body cast iron volute that can be adaptable for guide rail systems, an AISI 300 series stainless steel motor shaft and upper and lower ball bearings for precise parts positioning, as well as radial and thrust load containment. The mechanical seal is comprised of hardface silicon carbide faces and stainless steel metal parts encased in BUNA-N elastomers. The motor is fully submerged in high grade turbine oil for heat dissipation, permanent lubrication and protection. The severe duty rated power cord is also oil and water resistant. A fixed balance handle makes installation a headache-free process.
