The Goulds EP04/EP05 Submersible Effluent Pumps are designed for use in a variety of graywater and wastewater application settings, including homes, farms, effluent systems, heavy duty sump systems, and dewatering systems. These pumps can also be used for general water transfer purposes as well. Each pump has a 1.5" NPT vertical discharge and can pass water with 3/4" waste solids. The construction of these Effluent Pumps are rugged and corrosion resistant, with a thermoplastic casing and pump base. The motor housing is cast iron with a thermoplastic cover with an integral handle and float switch attachment points for convenience. The Goulds EP04/EP05 pumps are capable of running dry without damage to the components. The Goulds EP04 models have a thermoplastic semi-open impeller with pump out vanes for mechanical seal protection, while the Goulds EP05 models have an enclosed thermoplastic impeller. Motors in both series have a built in overload with automatic reset. Pumps are available in both manual and automatic configurations. The tensile strength has been tested to exceed the strength of poly and PVC pipe.
