What’s a Plenum Plus A common term used in the HVAC field, plenum, is the part of a building between the structural floor or drop ceiling where air and heat travel through. What many contractors and safety officials have pointed out is that this space provides ample amounts of excess air/oxygen, which in the event of a fire will help spread it throughout the building.
