Zoeller Model 49  Today I am highlighting the Zoeller Model 49 Water Ridd'r III sump pump.  This Water Ridd'r pump is expressly designed for the use in residential or light commercial applications and is able to transport groundwater or graywater/effluent. Construction Corrosion resistance is extremely important for any pump that could be exposed to graywater and the Zoeller 49 is no different. The volute and pump base are engineered plastic with a baked on enamel finish, while the motor housing is rugged cast iron. The motor is hermetically sealed to be watertight, dust tight, and submersible. The impeller is also made of engineered plastic in a non-clog vortex design which directs solids away from the (carbon vs. ceramic) mechanical seals. All in all, the Water-Ridd'r is a sturdy pump that can handle whatever you throw at it. A tethered float switch comes attached and a plastic carry handle is mounted on the top of the pump for convenient transport.
