    The Goulds SPBB series Battery Backup Sump Pumps are designed to provide emergency backup service for a sump system if the primary sump pump fails. Sump pump failure often occurs during power outages caused by storms. The SPBB Series can also operate if the primary pump can't keep up with the groundwater inflow. Included in the SPBB Battery Backup Sump Pumps unit is a 12 volt pump, a float switch, a 10 amp battery charger a check valve, pipe fittings, and a battery box. The pump is self-charging and is enabled for automatic start-up operation. The charger includes indicator lights and an alarm sound to warn the user when pumping commences and/or if the battery will not charge. Please note that the primary sump pump and the battery itself are not included in this package. The system requires a minimum 105 amp deep cycle marine battery, Series 27.
