Zoeller's Basement Sentry 507 backup sump pump system is ideal for handling clear water as well as being an emergency backup to your primary sump pump during unexpected power outages or primary pump failure. The Goulds GSP0311 Effluent Pump series is a a premium quality series pump designed to keep your basement dry. Goulds GSP0311 pumps are specifically designed for residential sump systems and can handle solids up to 1/2" in diameter. Features include a rugged cast iron motor housing for corrosion resistance and heat dissipation. Grundfos CME Plus centrifugal booster pumps are built to service water pressure boosting applications in a primarily residential setting. CME Plus series series pumps are pre-wired to provide constant pressure regardless of water usage fluctuation. Thus, a user can remain confident that with a CME Plus booster, he or she will experience consistent water pressure at the tap regardless of household demand patterns or the pump start/stop periods. The CME Plus pumps are based on the frame of the classic Grundfos CME pump. Much like its beloved predecessor pumps, CME plus pumps also extremely sturdy and reliable. The compact design allows for simple installation and convenient servicing should any issues arise. As with many newer Grundfos pumps, the CME plus series incorporates high-performance hydraulics and electro-coated cast iron parts for efficient, quiet operation. The interface is user friendly as well: the user can personalize the water pressure with the touch of a button and a built-in stop function ensures that the CME automatically stops pumping if the water demands drops to a low level.  The ProVore PRG-series is expressly designed for use in residential or home wastewater systems. ProVore pumps are equipped with Liberty’s patented V-Slice stainless steel cutter that is capable of turning solids such as plastic bags, feminine products, and towels into a fine slurry to be collected and exported. The pumps are constructed with a cast iron corrosion resistant frame. The motor is oil-filled and thermally protected. Each model in this series operates at 1 HP, 115 or 230 V, single-phase power. The pumps have a 2-inch discharge and can be used as replacement pumps for systems that also have 2-inch discharge lines (that already use LE40 or LE50-series solids handling pumps). Automatic models include a wide-angled float switch with the exception of the PRG101AV which has an integral vertical float switch. Welcome back to Inspector Pumphead Recommends! In this feature, I will be recommending a specific pump model and highlighting the features, specifications, and benefits of this pump. It could be a new product, a best seller, a seasonally appropriate pump or one that is strongly recommended by the application engineers. Let's dive in! Goulds J7S Shallow Well Pump Today I am highlighting the Goulds J7S Shallow Well Pump. This popular Jet Pump is our best-selling jet pump and is known for top notch construction, efficiency, versatility, and consistent performance. The Goulds J7S is built to draw water from a water table no more than 25 ft. underground. This pump can typically be found in homes, farms, and cottages, as well as in booster applications. Construction The defining feature of the Goulds J7S is the integral shallow well adapter that is built into the casing, removing the need for a separate shallow well adapter. This makes the pump compact and relatively easy to install. This Shallow Well Jet Pump is also easy to maintain. The motor is divided into two compartments for easy access to the wiring and replaceable components while a back pullout design allows the user to access the pump components without disturbing the surrounding piping. The engineered plastic tubing and fittings can also be easily removed for cleaning or examination. The pump case includes a nozzle clean out plug. The volute is cast iron with an electro-coated paint process that is applied to the interior and exterior and then baked on for corrosion resistance. The impeller is FDA compliant, glass filled Noryl and is both corrosion and abrasion resistant. The bolted down diffuser guide vane ensures positive alignment with the impeller. The mechanical seal's special diaphragm design retains water in the casing so the seal itself never runs dry. The Goulds J7S is powered for continuous operation and is self-priming after the initial prime. This basic pump package includes the close-coupled pump/motor, a AN018 nozzle, a AD3336 venturi, and a AS4 pressure switch. The pressure switch is preset to 30-50 PSI.
