PumpProducts.com: A Premier Goulds Jet Pumps Supplier

PumpProducts.com is the one stop shop for all your pumps, pump parts, and pump accessories. We offer many styles of jet pumps on the market, and while all are reliable, jet pumps are manufactured with an unmistakable craftsmanship that sets them aside. With humble beginnings in 1848, Goulds has grown into an internationally recognized manufacturer of pumps and pump parts. These pumps are remarkably engineered, fusing together their long history of dedicated engineering for a superior product with modern innovation and technology. Still, many are unfamiliar with the purpose of jet pumps. For that purpose, we’ve assembled some information about jet pumps below.

What is a jet pump? Well, it’s a pump with a jet. So what’s a jet? The jet is a nozzle on the pump meant to blow water. This water is pushed through the venturi in order to create a differential of pressure. The name “jet” comes from the technology used to create this pressure. Goulds Jet Pumps use the same principles of physics that allow jet engines to soar through the air above.

Unlike the aircraft, Jet Pumps are usually found deep below the ground. But not always. Jet pumps come in different forms, each with a specific intended purpose. They are separated into Goulds Shallow Well Jet Pumps and Goulds Deep Well Jet Pumps. Another type, Goulds Convertible Jet Pumps, can be used in either shallow or deep well applications.

Shallow Well Jet Pumps are designed to pull water at a maximum of 25 feet deep. In areas that are high above the sea level, the distance may in fact be shorter. The shallow pumps will have their nozzle and venturi right on the nose of the pump, because of the smaller reach.

In contrast, Deep Well Jet Pumps are designed for much greater reach. You’ll find a depth of 80 to 100 feet in most locations. This of course is dependent upon the area, the model of the pump, and how powerful it is. On a deep well pump, the nozzle and venturi are not installed on the nose. Instead, they are found on a separate ejector package. The two pipes of the venturi operate in different ways. One pipe will use suction to pull water up. The second pipe will drive the water down and let it circulate through the remaining parts.

These pumps are designed to perform for years. These exceptional jet pumps are corrosion resistant, fitted with plastic tubing, and hand-tightened O-ring. Shallow Well Jet Pumps are designed for home and farm use, among many other uses, to supply water to your home or to irrigate crops. Because they have such a wide-range of applications, they do not require expensive tools or equipment to clean or replace components.

At Pump Products, you’ll find a trusted line of Shallow Well Jet Pumps, Deep Well Jet Pumps, and Convertible Jet Pumps. We are proud to supply an American brand that continues to hold true to its years of trusted performance.
