Zoeller 76 Aqua-Mate Sump Pump Today I am highlighting the Zoeller 76 Aqua-Mate sump pump. The Zoeller 76 is a submersible sump pump, designed to handle groundwater or effluent water in residential or light commercial application settings. The Zoeller 76 can handle groundwater or effluent water with up to ⅜” spherical solids and is completely submersible in waters up to 110°F. Construction The Zoeller model 76 features a primarily plastic based construction, with the volute, motor housing, and pump base all being made of engineered plastic for corrosion resistance. The impeller is a non-clogging vortex type to pass solids. The screws and other hardware are stainless steel, the motor shaft is 410 stainless steel and the gasket is a Buna-N O-ring. A reliable integrated float switch is built into the pump for easy automatic operation. The on point is 8⅓" while the off point is 3⅝”. The model listed below includes a UL listed power cord with 3-prong plug and a plastic carrying handle. Automatic types include a solid buoyant polypropylene float on a 2-pole mechanical switch. Zoeller 72-0001 Zoeller 72 Aqua-Mate Today I am highlighting the Zoeller 72  sump pump. The Zoeller model 72 is part of the "Aqua-Mate" series and is designed expressly for residential or light commercial groundwater and effluent applications. The Zoeller 72 can handle groundwater or effluent with up to ⅜” spherical solids and is completely submersible in waters up to 110°F. Construction The Zoeller 72 features an inner stainless steel can which is designed to dissipate heat from the motor for a long service life. The motor also has thermal overload protection with an engineered plastic motor housing. The pump volute, base, and non-clog vortex impeller are all made of engineered plastic as well. The automatic model, that is linked below, includes a polypropylene float to activate a 2-pole mechanical switch. The switch arm is stainless steel and the float guard is plastic. A carry handle is installed at the top of the pump for convenient transport and placement. The manual model, which is also linked below, uses a variable control system.
