  • Goulds LEP07 Series Submersible Effluent Pumps Buyers Guide & Review

    April 8, 2019

The Goulds LEP07 series submersible Effluent Pumps are lightweight, compact, and portable pumps built for transferring graywater with up to 3/4" spherical solids. The LEP07 series are specifically designed for residential effluent systems, general water transfer applications, dewatering applications, and heavy duty sump applications. The LEP07 series Effluent Pump , provides robust performance that belies its compact size. The frame is corrosion resistant with upper and lower heavy duty ball bearing construction. The motor casing, fasteners, and shaft are all stainless steel (hard coated 400 series stainless steel in the case of the shaft) for corrosion resistance. The permanently lubricated motor is built for an extended service life; included is Class F insulation and built-in thermal overload protection with an automatic reset. The motor is a permanent split-capacitor design type motor. Manual and automatic models are available. Automatic models include options for a built-in float switch or a piggyback float switch (5-15P or 6-15P three prong grounding plug) depending on the model. • Goulds 2ED Series Effluent Pumps Buyers Guide & Review

    April 5, 2019

Goulds 2ED series Effluent Pumps can be used in a wide variety of effluent systems, commonly found in farms, trailer courts, motels, schools, hospitals, and various industrial settings. 2ED series can handle spherical solids up to 3/4". One of the main features of the 2ED Series Effluent Pumps is the dual mechanical seal with sensor probe. The lower seal is comprised of silicon carbide vs. silicon carbide faces, while the upper seal is comprised of carbon vs. ceramic faces. Both seals include rugged stainless steel metal parts and are encased in BUNA-N elastomers. The seal sensor probe is located in an oil-filled chamber and can detect if leakage penetrates the lower seal. The sensor will send a signal to a Seal Fail Circuit in the control panel. An o-ring also assures positive sealing against contaminants and oil leakage. The pump body itself is rugged cast iron while the motor shaft is corrosion resistant stainless steel of a threaded design. A locknut guards against component damage on accidental reverse rotation. The fasteners are 300 series stainless steel as well, while the pump has upper and lower heavy duty ball bearings. The motor includes Class F insulation and is fully submerged in high grade turbine oil for lubrication and efficient heat transfer. The pump is rated for continuous use when submerged but can also be run dry without damage to the components. The power cable is severe duty rated, as well as oil and water resistant. Please see the application data below to determine if this wonderful series meets your needs. GOULDS 2ED SERIES EFFLUENT PUMPS Model Comparison Chart Model Discharge HP Voltage Phase GPM Max. • Pump Products Now Distributing Darley Fire Pumps

    August 16, 2017

Pump Products is proud to announce its latest manufacturing partnership with Darley Pumps. Darley is a manufacturing company specifically known for making fire pumps and other quality products often used by fire departments and other first responders. According to the company’s mission statement, Darley’s mission is “to passionately serve the world’s first responder and tactical communities by providing high quality, safe and innovative products with unmatched commitment and service.” Pump Products currently carries engine driven “floating” pumps from Darley. Floating pumps are portable pumps built into a buoyant floating structure. These pumps sit on the surface of a water source and can quickly build up capacity and head. The portability and mobility is especially important in areas where a fire hydrant or other connection to city water may not be readily available. These pumps can be put in a barrel, fountain, swimming pool or other nearby bodies of water and be made ready to fight fire. Naturally, these pumps can also be used for general dewatering and water transfer applications. Current pumps available include the HEF11H Dolphin, the HEF10.5BS Dolphin and the 2BEF-BS Porpoise. Each of these pumps are self priming and built to supply high volumes of water very quickly. Pumps include either Honda or Briggs & Stratton high performance motors and attached fuel tanks with a recoil rope start. Anodized aluminum or alloyed aluminum make them light enough for two people to easily move or displace.  All in all, these pumps are a good option for a local/volunteer fire department or if you are in a location removed from city water and where fire is a concern, such as at a farm. Pump Products application engineers are standing by to help you find the right pump, as well as to provide price quotes, stocking availability and shipping information.
